GETTING HERE
TRAVEL
San Juan Island is - well yes, you guessed it - an island! That means it's surrounded by water, so you will either arrive by boat or plane, unless you are an excellent swimmer.
WASHINGTON → ANACORTES — BY PLANE
Most guests will fly into Seattle-Tacoma (SEA), then rent a car, carpool, or take a shuttle north to the ferry terminal in Anacortes. Paine Field (PAE) and Bellingham (BLI) are closer, but tend to have fewer flights—worth checking if they work for you!
ANACORTES → FRIDAY HARBOR — BY FERRY
We highly recommend taking the ferry (and it's fun!). You can bring your car or park it in Anacortes and walk on - we've done this before and it's very safe.
If you’re bringing a car, reserve a spot both ways; reservations open up 60-days in advance, and go quick. Set a reminder for June 1st to grab a spot.
If you're walking on (not bringing a car), you don't need a reservation. You can buy a ticket at the ferry.
SEATTLE → FRIDAY HARBOR — BY SEAPLANE
Skip the drive and ferry with a flight from Seattle directly into Friday Harbor. Faster, more expensive and objectively very cool.
ON ISLAND — GETTING AROUND
Friday Harbor is very walkable, and we’ll provide transportation to and from the welcome event on Friday and wedding on Saturday. If you want to explore beyond town, bring a car.
WHERE TO STAY
We will provide guests with transportation to and from the below locations, so it's highly recommended you stay at one of the following if you are not driving to the venue (ride-share is a crapshoot on the island).
